@ mikeymk - 11.07.20 - 12:43pm If anyone's still wondering if you can get this twice, the answer is yes. It's been pretty much the same but for the lungs - thankfully nowhere near as much irritation in my lungs, just a feeling of unclean air. But being totally knackered and literally sweating dripping water.. about the same. If anything, the exhaustion/fatigue lasted longer. Woke up soaked this morning again, as with yesterday, but it hasn't lasted so otherwise it seems I'm out the other side. Presumably my work will have reported it, but I cba. They weren't even bothered, wanted me to carry on the week.. My town is supposed to be really clean, but clearly that's bollocks, and it's still everywhere. Had my guard down, nfi where I picked it up. Did you get tested last time n know for sure you had it? Current procedure is that anyone with symptoms gets tested,isnt it? |

@ iilmadme - 11.07.20 - 01:42pm Did you get tested last time n know for sure you had it? Current procedure is that anyone with symptoms gets tested,isnt it? Couldn't get tested then as i needed a car. I don't know what the testing situ is now. I haven't done any testing of any sort. You'll know if you get it, it's like nothing else i ever had. It's weird. If it's not covid it's a completely new type of illness to me, and has happened twice now in the last couple of months. What's weird about it is it's completely dry. From sinus to blood, you can't feel anything except severe exhaustion and dry lungs. And then you get wet on the outside after a couple of days. Think it's gone. Woke up at midnight, after a 5hr sleep, no sweating. Apart from a little dehydration, like a hangover without the headache. Strikes me how similar it was. Timescale, symptoms, and their order. I was able to know exactly what i was in for. Only before it was like my lungs were full of fibreglass dust, this time just heavy pollution. |

Sounds like the same bout reoccurring to me ......apparently it can come and go for months in some people..F.uvk knows how many people you've infected , go get an all clear
|
||
@mikeymk | 12 July 20 | |
That'd mean i can't stop carrying it, surely..?

I really don't know tbh, it seems to follow the same rules for most people then for others act completely differently. I don't even think you're meant to go get all clear just stop isolating after 7 days of no symptoms ..but if you're getting it twice, or it's reoccurring, then you really should go see someone professional, get some advice ....imo

Yeah, i'd usually need a 'return to work' but not the case here, just the 7-days.

The current thinking seems to be that it's mutating in South America and becoming more infectious. may be. That immunity can only be measures in weeks, may be....which all adds up to a perfect storm....Or a lot of maybes

Will you isolate now for seven days?
