@ manszar - 23.10.21 - 08:07am does it get any dumber than this? you going about your daily lives can spread the virus to those that are vulnerable.ffs Then they can stay inside and live in a cocoon. I'm not responsible for their safety. Protecting them has done untold damage to the economy and society. |

@ obi_jon - 23.10.21 - 09:13am How does having to wear a facemask 'infringe on our rights' exactly? What rights are being infringed? Oh, did you mean your right to be an inconsiderate wanker? Or your right to potentially endanger those more vulnerable than you believe yourself to be? Or your right to behave like a rebellious child screaming 'I don't wanna'/'you can't make me'? Well done on using a fallacious argument after posting a wiki on logical fallacies proving you're nothing more than an NPC bot regurgitating concepts without any critical understanding of them or ability to apply them. The government doesn't get to mandate forcing people to wear masks. That is an infringement of free expression. Whether you can grasp that concept or not. Those vulnerable people have no right to my body being their human shield. Framing it as inconsiderate is a classic appeal to emotion. But that's what leftists do when they run out of arguments. |

Article 10 of the Human Rights Act: Freedom of expression.(Direct quote. Emphasis my own) 1. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This Article shall not prevent States from requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television or cinema enterprises. 2. The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society, in the interests of national security, territorial disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, for the protection of the reputation or rights of others, for preventing the disclosure of information received in confidence, or for maintaining the authority and impartiality of the judiciary. |

Governments are allowed to issue public health mandates, wether you agree with them or not.

I don't give a fu*k about your sh*tty UK version of freedom of expression where the police can arrest you for tweeting. Freedom of expression with conditions isn't freedom of expression. It's not just masks either, it's limiting freedom of movement and the ability to earn a living amongst other infringements. There is no public health crisis going on to justify any of this. Rights cannot be taken away at the whim of a government claiming a crisis. The precedent of this type of action should be obvious to anyone who isn't a government bootlicking authoritarian, quick to suspend rights in an hysterical attempt to get false safety. Notice again how you blindly post articles or wikis without the ability to think critically at all about what you post. |

@ obi_jon - 24.10.21 - 12:16pm Governments are allowed to issue public health mandates, wether you agree with them or not. Public health mandates as long as they don't violate people's rights. They cannot force people to do anything on the basis that those people are to be the human shields of others. |
