@ ogdenz - 14.09.21 - 04:20pm What about if one unvaxxed kid puts many other people at risk? what about if forcing a parent puts that child at risk.... what if a parent has no choice and vaxx their kid with a bit yet fully FDA approved vaxx for their age group and that child dies... even one death is one too many. there may be and can be no pressure on parents.... no choice between vaxx or home school either. we can what it what if yoi doomsday, fact remains, vaxx not fully FDA approved for kids and that's where it stops. you can argue all day, it means nothing until it's been fully FDA approved. then and only then can this be a serious discussion. |

Meanwhile, at my work.. The owner and the manager have locked horns. They never fall out, so it's a bit unnerving. But it'll be interesting. Until now, you get symptoms or a positive test, you're off with full pay. But the owner now wants proof of the test result by way of the NHS report email. Thing is, that's our confidential information. That's my email, between myself and the NHS. And my medical record. As far as I know, nobody claimed time off on a hoax positive case. But I can see that's what the owner is concerned with. The manager is trying to keep us all happy, which means having a bit of trust and respect.. Will be interesting to see who backs down. |

@ ogdenz - 14.09.21 - 04:00pm Who says its the fat the old and the weak making the decision? It's for them that this entire farcical narrative of 'protecting everyone' is going on. This virus is a big joke for most young and healthy people. They shouldn't have to suffer for them. |

@ ogdenz - 14.09.21 - 04:03pm I never said they should be denied an education. They can be schooled at home, many kids are. If your refusal to get your kids vaxxed is a risk to other members of society then yeah there need to be consequences..not as a punishment but as a way of keeping others safe. The 'others' being who exactly? Most people will never even know they had Covid. Civil liberties for the majority shouldn't be infringed for the miniscule at risk group. |

@ ogdenz - 14.09.21 - 04:20pm What about if one unvaxxed kid puts many other people at risk? Then those people should wrap themselves in cotton wool, and stay indoors forever. No unvaccinated person is putting anyone at risk by simply going about their day. They have no responsibility to be a human shield for anyone else. |

An unspecific doctors note should be enough, just like with any other sick time off before Covid. |

Most kids who are 14,15 years old are more then capable of making their own mind up about being vaccinated and should be allowed to choose for themselves

@ kimjongl - 14.09.21 - 06:22pm An unspecific doctors note should be enough, just like with any other sick time off before Covid. Tbf i don't think that's the issue, as it's gonna be closed doors with pay following any risk regardless. More the principal is proof of a negative test, which has been the case so far - we have to prove we haven't got it, and a photo of the test is no longer enough, he wants it reported to the NHS for it to be recognised. This isn't strictly just him, it's something we do in Britain now, the tests have a QR code on them and there's a government app you send your result to, which sends back an email. Previously we were given tests by the company which didn't have this. The government want every test result for the count transparency (something i wanna see the figures for). Another difference is we have to fetch our own tests, either from the chemist or by delivery to our home. So if it's government requested, it may be a futile challenge. |
