anyone else had one of these? I have one next week, an interview with lots of questions and then a roleplay scenario, my track record is very good at interviews but never had one like this before and been doing my research on the interview questions I think I will get and I'm ok with that and I have an idea what the roleplay will be but the idea of it being on teams feels weird, done lots of meetings on teams but never had all the focus of the others involved on me, having to look at the camera instead of the person will feel weird. |

it might be easier than a normal interview. just focus on things you want to ask them and remember it's a two way process, you are also seeing if they are people you want to work with / for.

Team meetings are fine crabbit but I still prefer face to face, being the focus on an interview online with people I've never met seems odd, and yes 3mel I think it may be an easier interview because the 2 won't be sat together and bouncing off eachothers questions so much but I've been looking at webcam interviews and how to be and it says dont look at the person to make eye contact but look at the cam, all seems weird but with covid this is the only option, definitely a job I want and if I get it I'm sorted.

Never had a job interview via meet before, but I teach classes with an average of 18 students each with moderator teachers viewing the classes too. It's similar to an interview some time as they ask questions, and answer yours. Your performance is also always under scrutiny. I also use meet. My suggestion would be to keep your eyes at the cam when you answer their questions. You will have tendency to look at their tags when they call you out, but resist that. Keep your eyes on the cam. It builds rapport. One more thing, it's a bit disadvantageous to be interviewed online as you can't always express yourself freely as you would in real life, so my suggestion would be to make sure you use your hands and body language a lot as you speak. Speak loudly, but firmly so they can all hear you. But overall I think you will be fine. The meet software is a breeze to use, but do keep your angle in the middle so your torso is fully visible.

This will be on microsoft teams which is fine, the app is irrelevant, teams , zoom, Skype are all ok for me to use and I'm using someones set up who works from home and has good WiFi and a pc instead of my laptop or tablet, will treat it as a normal interview and wear a shirt and tie. |

Just don't get the interview confused with your ''Dodgey's Friday Night Is Sex Night'' webcast.

I'm sure they'll make allowances for you not always looking in the right place. you can always say yourself that looking at the camera rather than the screen takes getting used to, take the pressure off yourself and they'll probably agree with you. |
