Does walking down a decline use up more or less calories than walking on a flat surface? What are the benefits, if any. |

No, research shows that when going downhill you only burn 6.6 fewer calories per mile than walking on flat ground, So it uses less calories. Benefits are probably Improve Circulation Walking wards off heart disease, brings up the heart rate, lowers blood pressure and strengthens the heart. Shore Up Your Bones. ... Enjoy a Longer Life. ... Walk down i t upon someone's back. Whatever you've chosen to be doing with your c**k throughout this time is upon your own shoulders, entirely, Perhaps you were just innocently picking winberries. |

Wow, walking downhill actually improves blood glucose tolerance and can aid in insulin resistace which is much lower in uphill walking. It also works other types of leg muscles. You shouldn't just go at the incline function of treadmills. Try working on the muscles it does not target by doing other exercises. http://www.health.harvard.edu/newsletter_article/uphill_or_down_the_health_benefits_of_hiking_depend_on_where_youre_headed Makes you wonder why they don't have decline option on treadmills.. Actual physical walking is a lot better in many aspects. |
