Do you have and use one as an alternative option to the usual TV display? Which do you recommend? Recommended brand, etc.. which lasts the longest? Are they worth even getting? What's the difference between laser and LED projectors? Much appreciated! |

We have one in the office at work. It's a Sony and a handful of years old. We use it to display the computer, namely info pages and photos, when discussing stuff. It is not ULED television quality. It's not even 1980s television quality. It's not something I'd be trying to watch a film on at home. |

We have an optoma at work. Pretty pricey but its 4k uhd and looks cute too. More importantly, its not one of those you have to black out the room for. Still perfect in pure daylight.

I'm only familiar with movie theater projectors and that is only with the obsolete fim type. My brother knows the newer movie projectors, but they gave him so much trouble that he gave up on them. My best advice is not to purchase anything you cannot afford to throw away. |

It's massive. You can't stand in front of it, or even sit for that matter, other than on the floor. And it'll probably catch fire. Can't you just get a telly like everyone else..? |
