A school in Wales has ordered it's dinner ladies not to serve food to any child who's parents owe a debt of more than 1 pence for their dinner. |

Doesn't a school have a duty of care for any child whilst they are on the premises? If I was a dinner lady no way would i refuse a child a meal if I was told i had to. Would you? |

I seem to recall a case in the USA where a lady was sacked for giving free food to a pupil.

Fk em - well done school This will be due to a handful of parents taking the piss. Spoils it for everyone else. Now it's over to the school-gate mafia... |

What makes you think it will be down to a handful of parents taking the piss?

Would you? They supply free breakfasts etc in the US, mostly thanks to the efforts of the Black Panthers back in the day. |

Would you? Duty of care doesn't really cover feeding them. That's the parent/guardian's duty. If they're regularly missing schol dinners, then there would be concern for welfare and the staff will report such to their DSL and they'll get social services involved. The little sh*ts often get dinner money off their parents and spend it on f*gs, junk and weed. At lunch, they'll hope a member of staff feels sorry for them. Once yes, but you notice a pattern. |
