Went to the doctors with a bit of a chest infection. He told me I have long Covid and offers me a sick note . Seemed too easy and I refused . But is this going to be the new go to excuse for fraudulent benefit cheats ? |

If you have long covid then you have long covid. I prescribe 2 years on higher rate DLA and PIP..and a free car and carers allowance...NEXT! |

Long covid is the result of having covid. Long lasting symptoms.

I know . This is what I mean. The doctor telling me I have long Covid (when I have never had it ) is worrying. Its an easy diagnosis for them and an easy claim for the bums

They're currently conducting tests and researches in regards to people having lasting complications that did not present before actually contracting covid. You may not know you had covid, or may not have been tested at the time or even positive at the time, but still be a long hauler as they call them. A lady I worked with was part of a study done in Texas. They flew her out from NY to Texas for 5 days to have tests and remain under observation at their testing site. |

No. Long Covid has become an easy get out for doctors. They probably get a bonus for diagnosing it

A conspiracy theorist i know reckons everyone with long covid is suffering from a slow death by the jabs. But i had long covid and was never jabbed. It only went when i caught covid again, over 18 months later. So based on my experience, the best chance of a medical cure for someone who has long covid is then to have a jab. |

I caught something a month ago, and I'm still coughing. But two weeks ago I was coughing up loads of horrible stuff, whereas now it's clean, and not much of it. Covid was dry, coughing never achieved anything. So it's not covid. Bit concerning though, as it's been really nice to be able to breathe well, and speed myself back up physically, for the past year. |
