It's said working in a big office and going to places like the gym/spa will be ideal places to make friends. My experience is that office colleagues friendship is literally just for while you work there and lunches/dinners out with the other workers..nothing more. Maybe some people would be open for something more deeper but they don't want to express it or don't think I'd want to express it with them etc. The usual bull of interactions is just so boring that I hardly bother. Getting something tangible is like a maze. |

you don't sh*t where you eat.... work friendships can be risky... I like my friends not to be neighbours and neither work colleagues.

I spend most of my time with them all already. I'm at work to focus on my work and that's it.

Friendships work well when they're convenient. Once they're no longer convenient, they can fade pretty fast.

Depends how regimented those work colleagues are, but when I did work made a few friendships. hasn't even an office party helped you out pw or do you stand by the photocopier in hope of someone doing risqu picture's?

i have been tossed aside twice by ''school friends'' . Real ones that i met somewhere else have lasted like 30 years now, even when it has been a bit on and off with a year or two in between.
