I can't imagine apples working very well in a mwave for some reason, they'd need baking in an oven really. Maybe you could mash them up and make some kind of apple sauce but don't take my word for it, that's just a guess.

@ iilmadme - 4.10.17 - 08:02pm so also...apples.ive acquired some.how long in a microwave? my pear attempt wasnt successful Core and peel it first, maybe put some raisins in the hole and try it for about a minute, stick a knife in and if it feels soft all the way through, it's done. Bit of honey over the top is quite nice too. |

@ iilmadme - 4.10.17 - 08:41pm and gt xx You're welcome. I'm also without a conventional cooker, just a Rayburn until I refurb my kitchen. Definitely gonna put a normal oven and hob in too. |

@ obi_jon - 4.10.17 - 11:42am Yup, it came right up out of the top of the mug in a column, then sank back down as soon as the mwave pinged. I chose that recipe because it sounded the simplest of all the recipes I saw, 3 ingredients and cooks in 1min. Theres all sorts of mug cake recipes, egg free versions, sugar free versions, gluten free versions, vegan versions. What's yours then? I made one today but in a dish Dish cake doesn't really have the same ring to it though. I use 2 tbsp butter, 4 tbsp sugar, 4 tbsp flour, 2 tbsp cocoa powder and a little bit of water. I do it for about 45-50 seconds so it's still gooey in the middle |

Here is the one I use... I make it in a jug tho and pour it into the mug Spoon 45 ml Self-Raising Wheat Flour, 30 ml cocoa powder and 60 ml sugar into a coffee mug. Add 1 extra-large egg, 45 ml milk and 45 ml cooking oil. Mix well. Microwave at 100 power for about 3 minutes or until it stops rising. * + |
