Yes Banjo. It's a fully legitimate point. Good grammar is the difference between knowing your s**t, and knowing you're s**t. I personally can't understand the problem, how anyone can say 'you're' without knowing they're saying 'you are', when used in such a case. It signifies a complete lack of thought for what one is saying. I have patience for those of whom English is not their first language. But the British just reflect ignorance, and actually, neglect. |

they are severely lacking in many aspects of their life. their frustrations drive them to the pettiness of correcting peoples spellings and punctuation.

@ mikeymk - 30.08.14 - 02:58am Yes Banjo. You don't need to use a new paragraph after only saying seven words in a 'sentence.' You should use a new paragraph when moving onto a new point, not merely in between breaths or full stops. You don't need to say ''I personally can't understand the problem'' when the 'I' signifies you are talking about yourself anyway, making the 'personally' redundant and frivolous. If you are going to use paragraphs, you need to double space them, unlike you have at the end of your ''when used in such a case'' sentence. Again, you failed to comprehend or fully utilize the use of paragraphs in the correct manner. You do not start sentences with 'but,' as you did in your last paragraph. It's incorrect. You also do not use 'and' after a comma, as you did yet again in your last paragraph. |

i still don't get why ppl care either way, be it why do ppl correct it or why it bothers ppl enough to correct it... i only like to correct those few in here who correct others while they still don't know the diffs between there, their and they're for example.
