@ alanball - 29.06.17 - 01:10pm I disagree, in my work if minimum wage goes up then so does everyone elses so that the gap is maintained. I'm sure any decent business would do the same. And here we go again with the 'but but but Labour And where do you suggest that money comes from? |

They could change careers if they aren't happy, like other people do

@ silverjx - 29.06.17 - 02:03pm Think it was jobs for one of the ''boys'' like the quango non jobs that took so much money from the public There's a lot of that still , outright by the placing of the upper classes 'less bright' being employed in Whitehall or vague civil service jobs ...to the sifting of applicants on the contents of their CVs by way of where they were educated ,family background etc ... |

@ mikeymk - 29.06.17 - 01:04pm Well it's to appease Labour voters, see. Corbyn wants to raise the minimum wage to ten quid. That would mean a communist pay structure. Porters on the same money as surgeons, as the money available has to be distributed more evenly. I was looking forward to Labour winning power, so I could down tools and go work in Tesco stacking shelves for the same money. Easy life! You lefties... you can't ask for equal pay one week and more pay for firemen the next. Get it together, man. Ignoring the contempt shown for people who can only find shelf stacking jobs (I know of two graduates doing that btw) you wouldn't enjoy Tescos ....how could you make your own engine parts at work |

@propidol | 29 June 17 | |
We all work really hard and would like insupportable pay rises.

@ mikeymk - 29.06.17 - 02:05pm And where do you suggest that money comes from? The same magic money tree that suddenly produced a bu*g to the tune of 1.5 billion that the DUP requested a couple of days ago |
