They are machines and can only do what they're programmed to do. Yes they can operate wirelessly but even the world's most advanced supercomputer works within mathematical law.

Yeah they're like toasters at the minute but that will change. Imagine an army of these fkers

An army that could be switched off wirelessly in a second. We already have armies of robots working for us, they're at the mercy of their controllers because they can never have a desire or will to do anything. No matter a computer's capacity or ancillary equipment it can only be dependant on physical law. |

Wrote something about this years ago.. AI playing at being human is like some Japanese guy adopting Western culture/style.. it will be painfully obvious that they don't belong. |

Well this is what BD have done in 30 years of research. What's it going to be like in 300 years

@ ogdenz - 5.10.22 - 11:01pm I remember seeing an entire rock band made up of robots. The music was crap if I recall correctly. They are called Compressorhead. That's so awesome! Checked them out. |

heard there's a version of the Spot robot dog that's equipped with cameras and sensors to patrol areas like US Mexican border. also heard something about a sniper robot/drone variant. not sure that it's still Boston Dynamics making them. edit: it is Boston Dynamics... ok that's seriously killed off their cool factor for me if they're gonna be a weapons manufacturer. http://www.archyde.com/boston-dynamics-robot-dog-spot-becomes-a-sniper/ |

Boston Dynamics visited the site of Everton's new stadium to demo their Spot robot dog described as 'an agile, robotic dog used to navigate terrain and automate routine inspection tasks and data capture safely and qccurately'. The thing had dog mannerisms ffs

When I see dog checking gauges and valves on powerplants and oil and gas platforms, then I will be impressed.
