@ trunking - 4.02.23 - 11:11am Feeling a bit anxious with all that's happening. Hoping 2023 gets a little better. I think a lot of folk share your concerns. Energy hikes, cost of living, strikes, war in Ukraine and China/ USA relations paint an anxious period for 2023. . I share your hopes though for a better year or two ahead for everyone in the world . . |

The world couldn't give two sh*ts about you. Look at the doll above me. He's doing great despite all the ''concerns''. do you think he sits around worrying about Ukraine or China? Lol. He's getting sh*t done everyday anyway. |

I said this to the brat just yesterday, how middle aged people are miserable and have always got something to moan and complain about. She doesn't get why, because she's a kid. And there's the answer. We were all kids once, and when we were, we didn't give a shit about all the things that made our parents such miserable fks. We didn't care about the poll tax, the miners, the fight against illegal raves, the winter of discontent, the strikes... Because we were kids. And we'll sit and reminisce about how life was great and care-free when we were young, and how we wish we could relive our youth again. But the only reason today isn't as good for some is because they're gripped and corrupted by the bait. Stop being a melt, brush yourself off, and carry on. |

When someone asks me what I want out of life, I still tell them, ''hot women, fast cars, big house'' We had those aspirations when we were kids, then it got sucked out of us because some fat dried up teacher told us how we ought to act. Then the women we get married to tells us to grow up and live a life according to what they find acceptable. What this sh*t of a society finds acceptable. fu*k that. I'd rather still have those aspirations. I'm still a young lad at heart and that's never going to change. |

Still lift harder, work harder, and come home everyday with a biggger smile than all you genz and millennials moaning about the world from your mum's basement. One point for me. |

I just feel emotionless, so I've been drinking a lot lately. Helps numb the pain of life for a bit x

Greeting from 2023, i am also emotionless, but in a good way. Also, there is no such thing as an important thread.

@ 8letters - 3.02.23 - 09:36pm I am significantly drunk, and so I have decided to create a new thread here. With the current posting frequency, I fully expect this thread to live for at least two years when I next log in. I would appreciate if everyone could leave their greetings from the current year, so that I can look at them in 2025. What sort of emotions are you living through in the present year of 2023, we will retrospectively work through them together in two years to unravel any pent up trauma. Thank you Work through the problems in two years time you say? Well I hope you feel guilty for those that have topped themselves by the time you can be sufficiently drunk enough to offer even a dim candle of hope to them |
