I've never been much into horror, so when asked this question I usually can't even think of one I like. I think I prefer thrillers to horror, like real things that could happen, rather than paranormal stuff and monsters etc. Yeah, I still can't think of one I love.

The Thing was good for me (1981 J.Carpenter) a mix of horror and suspense. Alien, same deal. |

I never did get the fascination with Alien at the time, just made me laugh at the chest buster scene. Looked like a muppet puppet on a stick.
