I have like 200 multicolour lights in a 3ft tree. My planning wasn't good but it looks pretty. And a Barbie doll in a miniskirt and tight top for a fairy. First tree in 4yrs, that's my excuse.

@ kelypso - 17.12.17 - 11:53pm I love them. Although I keep it fairly simple. My neighbours? Well, they are pretty nuts about them, when we were chatting the other day one told me she'd just spent her last 30 bucks on yet another set lol. Do you partake in this noblest of traditions? Have two trees up and lights on them. I love coloured fairy lights. They make me all happy and stuff. |

I don't - my daughter does. She's fine with me using it for the tree, though. |

I am not convinced.

We don't do Christmas so no lights/decorations. We only decorate our house a little closer to Diwali - and even then, we keep it simple. Some lights on the front of the house, a couple of things here and there - not too much, not too little, just enough. My house is no where near as decorated as some neighbours, but there is no serious competition.

@ gt_tdi - 18.12.17 - 11:32pm I am not convinced. Dolls are pretty expensive man, usually twenty odd quid, she's got loads - She's 6yo and her dolls house is taller than her. But given the cost of the Christmas tree stuff i was looking at in Waitrose yesterday, Barbie was probably still the economy option. |

Oh hang on, I'm a basic white bi**h, I can. |

I was going to make a Soundgarden tree this year, but I think I'm going to run out of time.
