Its not anyones burden to force anyone to get help or even stuck around to identify possible signs of mental health. However, there are some people who stick around nonetheless and offers support. Good for the ones who can identify they need help on their own, some people are not that fortunate, but for them fortunately (sometimes) they have supportive people around them. |

Im happy for you. Keep doing what youre doing. I think ppl fail to understand sometimes that just the same we have a moles, a hole etc on our bodies as identifying marks as an individual, its the same way we can have little defects in our brains. It doesnt make us less of a person, its just happens that luckily with science certain hormones deficits and exceses and deficits and excesses in functions, these little differences are able to be rectified chemically. |

It's good mental health is becoming less stigmatised and more openly discussed. As a British man though I can't really relate to it, we have a stiff upper lip and tend to frown upon talking about emotions and that stuff. But fair play, if it helps people then it can only be a net positive.

@ peta - 10.10.18 - 04:07pm Obviously no one can know exactly what is happening with someone suffering inside, they may see signs and figure you may need help. Some obv will not deal with it at all. These days yiu tell someone youve suffered from anxiety or depression and they say bye because no one wants to really take care of someone if they do not need to. Good for you fir having that will and knowing that you needed help. Also, your friends that you speak so fondly of were helpful in possibly steering you to the point where you know you needed that help. It wasnt a case of needing help, it was a case of needing to get rid of people who were making it impossible for me to help myself. I got a lot of hate for not being the same, fell into issues with people. What helped was being with people who had the patience to let me help myself, whilst still being around in a positive light to show me it was worth doing (though i always believed it was worth doing, despite that being very distant at times). |

@ peta - 10.10.18 - 02:39pm Granted, everyday should be a day where humanity continues to raise awareness and recognize that mental health is important and it exists. Mental health challenges are not necessarily ones youre born with, often times they too develop. So Im imploring you all to take care of your mental health just like you take care of your physical health. It is not always something to can readily see or detect. Know that others exist that are different and may need a bit more support and attention in handling certain circumstances that may be taken for granted by typical mentally healthy people. Share awareness. This comes from the human services professional in me. Something that definitely needs to be passed around and be aware of...so many suicides, stress, emotional damage, tiredness in the brain.., the wholeness of the body, soul n mind needs to be healthy n be aware...if only we spend time doing it, life that seems unfair n bleak n dark will be as what it's meant to be. |
