I'd love to have some decent sleep. I think I need some melatonin. |

A nurse told my mother that melatonin doesn't do s**t. One needs Tenox or some other ''real'' sleeping pill.

Doing a night shift is sh*t

Sadly there's no night shifts for me. I would have love in and on a permanent basis too. I have always been more about a night owl.....always sleepy during the day.

Melatonin is a natural hormone that our body produces, just not enough in some. I'm hesitant towards taking knockout pills as you can become dependant, but when you're having no sleep at all you'll take anything that promises some sleep. |

I've done my fair share of night shifts. We're not built for it so it takes its toll eventually. There have been a few times where I've not been able to sleep, had to go back to work and been near enough tripping by the end of it. Melatonin worked ok but drowsy antihistamines work better for me

Better time management and organisation can help, another thing is being less choosy about when you sleep - there's no good pushing through your day when you're tired, only then to expect to be able to go to sleep at 11pm just because that's the time that suits you.. It's a common complaint that there aren't enough hours in the day, but that's where one needs to make their day shorter, more relaxed and less stressful. |

Yes I think I'll try this and start sleeping during the daytime. As it's now half term, I guess I can try a daytime sleep, but I'll be fkd when I'm back after Easter! |
