@ liamb17 - 25.05.22 - 08:24am Any email I get now, I tend to check the full email address and not take the name for granted. Amazon and eBay seem to be the popular ones I don't even open them. The sender can tell if you open it |

@ 1clivey1 - 25.05.22 - 08:25am If you forward a text to 7726, your provider can investigate the origin of the text and arrange to block or ban the sender, if it's found to be malicious. Further information on how to report suspicious text messages, and what to do if you think you've responded to a scam text. Didn't know that |

@ crail - 25.05.22 - 08:28am She is smart and she still slipped up, so someone less savy would have had their account wiped. So easy. I feel bad for these older people they're ripping off everyday Her provider already has her bank details. You never give them over the phone upon request - only when you've sought a field for it (such as purchasing something you've searched for). She may be smart but it seems not that day. |

My phone's always given me a warning with block and report soft-keys, so far. Admittedly it's that bit easier to tell it might be a scam when my phone suspects so too.. |

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If it happened to a tech savy person it can happen to anyone |

The old folk are smashed on medication and sherry, I expect they're a right little gold mine.

i always google random numbers and 9/10 them are known telemarketers and/or scammers. Also it helps that official numbers start with 09-310etc. While marketers etc. are often 040924and so on...
