@ mikeymk - 25.05.20 - 10:17pm Fk me that's old. I feel kinda sorry for blokes in their 50s. I mean, it's over, innit. You're either a rich family gentleman, or a perverse loser. Fk that. got plans to die before you get there yourself ? |

I used to think getting old is a nighmare. Pain is something to be avoided at all costs, but It is precisely through the onset of old age, through loss or personal tragedy, that a spiritual dimension traditionally comes into people's lives. Their inner purpose would emerge only as their outer purpose collapsed and the shell of the ego would begin to crack open. I have felt and experienced some old people who accepted their being rather than fight against it to be so delightfully beautiful, wonderful and gracious. I have seen people in their 20's collapse from the suffering in life because they're detached from their being, and focus alone on doing. 51 is a wonderful age, but only if you let it. I have no qualms about growing old. I just hope and wish that yours arise gracefully. |
