If we put a 10 percent tax on people and companies who have wealth over 100 million pounds we would raise 69 billion pounds per annum. That would put an end to the cost of living crisis and ensure nobody is going hungry or can't heat their homes. The Conservatives don't want to do that,its not that they can't..they just don't want to. Meanwhile Sunak blames welfare claimants for inflation. When will people wise up? |

People who have a net worth of 100m or more don't just have it lying around in cash. That's not how tax works unless you're looking to erode assets which could end up doing more harm, especially with job losses. |

@ogdenz | 8 August 22 | |
Are these people/ companies who are a already extremely rich losing assets due to the tax they already pay?
|
||
@kimjongl | 8 August 22 | |
They pay tax on income. Income isn't an asset. If the basis of taxation changes away from income and on to net worth you would get asset erosion and probably fewer net tax receipts for the government.

You seem to be associating UK political parties with good ideas. May I ask why?

@ 9362 - 8.08.22 - 07:35pm Such a good idea that no political party has suggested it Because political parties don't exist to help the general public. YDC! |
