And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. (Revelation 14:9,10). |

Mark is a religious symbol, because acceptance of it is called the worship of the beast. It is not an outward symbol. If so, it could be forced on those opposed to it. Those who refuse the mark keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, therefore, those who have the mark do not keep them. Those who receive the seal of God are victorious over the mark of the beast, thus the mark involves a violation of the fourth commandment, the Sabbath.

A law will be passed enforcing the observance of the first day of the week, Sunday, as the Sabbath. That will be the Mark of the Beast. The commandment says the seventh day of the week is the Sabbath, which is the seal or mark of God. When the Sunday law is passed, all who accept it would have received the mark of the beast.

Christians are not under obligation to observe a Sabbath. I wonder how that law would 'oppress' them or test them. A law will be passed- where, by who and for what end?

@ loudcry - 23.11.12 - 07:56pm A law will be passed enforcing the observance of the first day of the week, Sunday, as the Sabbath. That will be the Mark of the Beast. You're confusing dispensations. Idk what the 'seal of God' under the economy of the Mosaic law was. Maybe it was the Sabbath, idk. But in the new covenant the seal of God is the Holy Spirit. Its the determining factor of who is God's and who isn't. Ephesians 4:30, Romans 8:9. |
