Women can prevent sexual crimes by not wearing short pants and skimpy dresses. This was the assessment by Pas Rantau Panjang member of parliament Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff, who said that indecent dressing had become a norm among young women here. She urged the Women, Family and Community Ministry to enforce a dress code for women, which she believed could prevent sexual harassment. |

when the reality is...New research from U.N. Women finds that 99.3 percent of women have suffered sexual harassment in Egypt. Slightly less (91.5 percent) have experienced unwelcome physical contact. Conservative Muslim women covering their hair have been targeted as have women dressed in the burqa which covers their entire body, leaving only their eyes visible.

The white ribbon is an important statement about men's involvement in the campaign to end violence against women. Too many men see this issue as somebody else's problem, but in reality we know that it's a problem for the whole of our society. The website www.whiteribbonscotland.org.uk gives information and encouragement for men to stand up and challenge violence against women, because every time it goes unchallenged takes us a step away from ending it.

Exactly my thoughts tokage. And a big difference between a campaign and a law telling women what to wear
