You often see some religious people trying to associate science with their religion in some way in an attempt to give their religion some sort of credibility.

Religion is faith, faith is believing without evidence. Science is looking at the evidence and coming to a logical unbias conclusion even if it contradicts your expectations, so no religion is not like science
