Fitnah has broad meanings. I'll try cut the long story short from native Arabic speaker perspective. Fitnah is all sorts of trials, tests, moments you face in life, which may get you deviated from the right path, due to being illusive in its nature. A known girls name is 'Fatinah' which means over charming or gorgeous. It is a good name describing beauty which may take you away from understanding the personality. Simply, Fitnah is like illusive images, you may look at it from one side, but forget the overall meanings. For example, you became rich, which is good to you, but forget to give the needy their share, or maybe have become arrogant, etc. and so on... |
