More personal as well. No reference to the death of Christ as a tragedy, instead the Resurrection is seen as a triumph. Catholics wear crosses with Christ on it.. Protestants do not. His Death was foretold and planned to take place. Jesus had to die on the Cross to set us free (from Sin, which is death). Intercessory prayers are a Catholic innovation too. You can't pray for the dead, or the dead for the living. Major difference between the two schisms. |
