We seldom really rely on chance in our everyday life - for the most part, we decide ourselves how our day will be. That's what writer Stephen Covey calls the 90/10 principle, and he shows how it works using an obvious example. The thing is, we can't control only 10 of events in our lives. We can't prevent a device from breaking or a flight from being delayed. However, we can control our own reaction to such things. The other 90 of events are the result of our reactions - to put it simply, what we do when we're stressed out. Reference and more Here, Click Me I am the Link! |

So observe your mental processes then alter them accordingly. Let's say there are 1000 things that annoy you..then why not learn a technique to not get annoyed as opposed to trying to alter the annoying things? Sounds a bit like Buddhism to me. |

I do not know what Budhhism says in this regard, but obviously it is about controlling your mental/emotional/spoken/physical reactions. Not getting annoyed at all needs lots of struggle, and might not be easy to everyone. |

It's a great sentiment but doesn't work well with humans with hormones etc

eh I also was wondering which exact hormones were meant
|

@crail | 1 July 21 | |
I was talking about testosterone and oestrogen mainly, but there's loads of hormones going off in the human body that make you sad/happy etc
