keyboards? there is only one keyboard. doesnt it work at all? probably a hardware problem. maybe the rubber has broken. unless it works in other apps, then maybe a format will fix it.

yes if a formatt is tried and dont fix it then chances are its either the keymat itself worn but if that simply pressing harder usually works ,if its the keypad membraine that actually registers the switches they cheap @ebay and include a new joystick and minisd card reader its all in 1 unit ,but you'll need strip the phone down fully as it sits under the motherboard

your hardformatt will only work if your problem is caused by some sheite youve installed/done ,,,youll loose everything on phone memory ..type into keypad''which aint working''
 star-hash-7370-hash then enter your sec lockcode ...or on them faulty keys whilst phones off hold green call key /number 3 and star key together whilst powering up the device.. |

or if have a windows computer .link phone to it and use free program named NSS Pro .connection USB/ push detect /read info if it reads ur phone select Factory settings /userdata /reset... Dear flash and crail,many many thanks for giving me the correct ways to remove my set problems.I have done a hard format and that format didnt give me proper benefilt as still my N73's keypad isnt working properly as key for some words or figures are not working like 2,a,c and x.Please guide me the way to follow.Im sad that i have purchased this phone in mid of 2010 but kept it non used and its life timer 148 hours 30 minutes.Thanks in advance.

you will need to buy the rubber mat thats goes underneath the keypad. very cheap on ebay. check youtube for dissasembly tutorials. are you sure its not water damage though? did it happen overnight?

you should of said it was only a few keys affected in the first place? obviously a hardware problem.

If u can open it u can clean that mat underneath the keypad yourself. I don't know what's it called. but anyway a sticky residue builds up so u should wipe it clean
