in all honesty wavez, i dont think you'll find a solution short of formating. You could try and see if hooking it up to a pc will give you the option of doing a scan and fix, but i dont think it will on fone memory..

He still has the same amount of usable memory, its just being occupied by 'deleted' files that can be overwritten. i dont need to read dummy. I know thats how memory operates. Thats still in no way addresses the problem of the fone showing less available memory than it has. maybe you can grasp that the fone will not allow any writing operations it believes it doesnt have the memory for (erroneously in this case). Its not irrelevant as you seem to think.

what 3mel said. scan and fix the drive with a pc. it might ask you to do it when you plug it in but if it doesnt then its in properties somewhere.
