quite high really. all you need to do is pay Microsoft enough money that they wouldn't mind having another smartphone platform on the market while their own is failing badly. then do the same with all the big app vendors so they release some product again, while you set up an app store and talk handset manufacturers into producing new models. I reckon about 4 or 5 billion dollars should do it... |

Reading up on it, Nokia are returning to Smartphones some time in late 2016. They have a Software team together, but it is unclear at this point if they will be making a full OS or just putting out customized Android devices like everyone else. Most likely the latter. I very much doubt ewe'll see Symbian OS come back, but it would be very nice to see Symbian running on modern hardware.

I love Symbian, still. Never use any of my phones, but I'm proud to say I have a 7650 and an 808 Pureview in my 'retro' cabinet.. Many an hour spent tinkering with Symbiam/S60.
