How can I restore original imei on my galaxy s3 gt-19300?

one of your free to download apps is made by someone fairly greedy, either delete it or if you can deny it internet access then clean out it's app folder.

or buy the paid version (if the reviews are good). in fact reading reviews is something you should do before you install anything.
if an app spams you with ads all the time it's reviews will say that and you can move on to something else.

Why would my S7 just suddenly decide it doesn't have an SD card installed, when it obviously does ?

I've tried removing and replacing it and restarting phone, still no joy.

Any ideas ?

It could be corrupted a bit. Have you got a pc to look for bad sectors and scan and fix the card? Does it show up in a pc?

I don't have a pc, and wouldn't know where to begin scanning and fixing it.
My battery died last night, when I charged it and turned on, there was a message at top of screen saying card wasn't formatted, with a button bottom right of screen saying format card now BUT also says I will lose everything on card if I go ahead...

I think it's time to cut your losses and format, unless you can get to a pc. It will probably ask you to fix it automatically if you connect it to a pc. Not sure, haven't used one in a while

Just had card in a pc, pc didn't recognise card, connected phone to pc via cable, transferred pics to pc and selected format phone, sticks at 20 percent then times out.

Looks like card is scrap.

If you got into the card via cable there may still be hope. Just delete all the files and folders off it manually, then try and format it in your phone. Worth a shot

if a card is being written to and that gets interrupted somehow the card usually goes to read only. take the card out of the phone and put it into a bigger SDcard adaptor and put that into your laptop directly.
this happened to me twice where the phone couldn't read the card and it couldn't be formatted anymore BUT all my files were still there to be copied over onto a new card eventually.

I done the card into card adaptor into laptop thing Mel and it said no card detected or card unreadable or something along those lines, was a couple of weeks ago now, so can't remember exactly.
I've managed this long without the stuff that was on it, so no big deal.
