sounds a bit steep for 340 quid. i would be dropping for GTX460 SLI for that

weren't going sli though and the only decent nvidia single card solution was an extra 100 for a slower card.

plus this leaves me room to crossfire two of these badboys later.

still steep for me. especially considering it'll be replaced in three months

that and its like 60 quid more than reference versions you can clock 100mhz without too much worry

yeah but that's too much fking about. besides, this way i get warranty cover for 950mhz, not 850.

well whatever. 100mhz is about 12 percent faster clocks for 20 percent+ more cost. If you only wanted a single GPU then there is no real compeition for the 5870 so you bought one rather steep in my overall estimations but obviously fast so just get on with the games

jeez guy. i pointed out the other day in another 5870 topic there is no point in buying an oc'd gfx card when all you will get is 1 or 2 and i mean a maximum of 2 fps on yer games. you may as well just get a refrence card and save some money.

the reference card has bulls**t cooling. would have ended up having to buy a gfx cooler for about 40 quid just to get it up to 915.. personally i can't see why my choice of card is so offensive

Depends what case you put it in. i have heard them and i have seen their temps, not amazing i admit but not unacceptable for a high end card. personal opinion of course
