Locking up resources does have an effect otherwise when I was uploading I would have been able to open other programmes or when I have 20 tabs open I would not have been give the beachball.

Read it again, I said 'connection resources'. And a 4gb computer slowing down is a sign of a memory management flaw in the operating system.

So does anyone have a solution to post? It is nothing new as I had the same problem on windows with less than half the power I had now. So it is a youtube problem associated with its attachment to lock-up browsers and resources. If I can have office open, imovie, iphone and the other apps without problems it suggests to me that youtube somehow puts a priority attachment to my resources and holds

I have tried it again and it works fine with 1.66mhz processor and 1 gb ram. If you are having same problem on Windows 7 then most probably there is a problem with a browser that you are using. Other computers I tried are running on 2gb ram and i3 processor. And as usual youtube uploading was a breeze. And I used IE9 on all three machines. Maybe you should just try it on Win7 and IE9, just to make sure that its not youtube's fault.
