Nw my config is pretty good ..ah ve 6 gb ddr3 ram 1gb hd nvidia graphics intel c2q so its nt bottlenecking 4 sure..seagate 1tb slave n seagate 500 gb primary both 7500 rpm sata

Does tht mean ah ve 2 burn always @ low speed ? Hell in that case they shouldnt make high speed media in the firs place

i use imgburn... leave it on auto and it will burn at the higest speed it can while still avoiding any errors. never had any issues with any disc that i burnt with imgburn

Disks last longer if you burn at a slower speed. I only ever burn disks at a fast speed if I intend to transfer data and then bin the disk afterwards.

Very Cool info @newt182 @pw Try 2 Use Fuji lableflash dvd's their more expensive but high quality and that blue/silver indisc lable is cool ,also the DiscT@2 feature of your drive can be used on any closed dvd media with enough free data space just get the lableflash app from lableflash.jp :)

i had serious problems with portable dvd/cd writer myself. apparently the outcome is somewhat depending on disc quality too. dont use generic dvd-r/cd-r for best results
