Looking for a new laptop or netbook.. All I use it for is surfing eBay YouTube etc check emails and the occasional word document. I don't use it for gaming, movies or music. Any advice would be appreciated as this ain't my field. Thanks. |

Netbook would be sufficient and a cheap option. They are only really designed for what you want, so if you decide to do extra later down the line it wont be as good an experience. I have a older netbook now and a laptop and tend to go with the laptop just because its faster and has a comfier screen size though

By faster i mean even browsing and opening programs. I know lots of people that make do just fine with netbooks. I made do for about a year with one

I wouldn't be able to access the odd word document on a tablet though. What netbook is best for minimal office use and fast-ish browsing?

A dual core. But some of the expensive dual core atoms cost nearly as much as a very cheap laptop with a full size CPU, budget like celeron, but still a lot more power than an atom
