Ok in the process of getting a 3d led tv,will be used for gaming and movies mostly obviously via pc.Not so clued up on these things as I've been lazy to keep up to date with tech last few monthsMy eyes on the LG 42lw4500 passive,would this screen be good for gaming? I preffer passive as to active,help will be much appreciated |

no matter where u go tho, most stores will alter colour, brightness etc to make certain tellys look better/worse. so alter the pic how you prefer and see how it does.

problem is all stores in south africa don't give the option to game on the screens as there's no pc's at hand to test gaming,only to watch a movie lol

i never mentioned gaming on them lol make sure you watch a variety of things on them. if you see any motion blur, artifacts etc then itll be no good for gaming.

active 3d you need rechargeable glasses which uses shutter tech and cost a lot! and you need to buy that seperately,and it strains your eyes,passive 3d you can uses normal 3d glasses that u can get at the cinema,with the lg t.v you get 9pairs with the t.v so the whole family and friends can watch with

panasonic and others are working on 3d tvs that dont require 3d glasses which I believe is a significant step forward. it maybe worth waiting. remember its allready been done with small devices like the nintendo 3ds.
