While you are at it get decent 600w powersupply from coolermaster / corsair and maybe get a decent graphic card? Add a ssd if you can

Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 2133MHz for only 69 dollars US. Remember, quality not quantity.

Also I personally would have gone with an i7 3770k. More performance for just about the same price

what will you use your pc for? 2011 platform is overkill for a random pc users who play games, play media, do some office work, photoshop, surf the web and other small things. unless your planning on getting the most out of the pcie slots like do a 3 way sli setup or do hard video and 3d rendering 2011 is a waste of money

the 3770k beats all the other cpu-s in most things games, photoshop etc. and stays real close to the i7 3960x 1000 euro cpu in heavy duty rendering etc.

and the power consumption looking at how powerful it is is awesome. and in games and lighter use ram speed does not have any benefit. you will not be seeing any difference going from 1333mhz to 2400mhz ram.
