There's also the image going around that Haswell overclocks high on low voltage, but it's CPU-Z that isn't able to read the voltage properly

@ newt182 - 26.05.13 - 04:50pm I haven't heard anything about a fix. Says a new revision is required. Knowing that the fault is there put me off. Intel will already have loads of them chips ready to ship and they plan to. While the issue wouldn't affect most people very often, it would still be a nuisance to have to worry about it. This usb bug pops up every generation of new intel cpu's ,its nothing to worry about and has been fixed .8pack on overclockers.co.uk has confirmed this |

@ newt182 - 26.05.13 - 04:55pm So on Haswell you get a few more instruction sets, slightly better performance, lower power requirement and faster integrated graphics. I didn't think it was worth it tbh and bought Ivy Bridge. The performance isn't much. The lower power requirement means that some PSU's might need replacing (depending on what the mobo manufacturer does) and I will always be using discrete graphics. My psu is good . But will be replacing it anyway with a platinum rated seasonic |
