frankly id like to take the best from both worlds. like to use both. when programming i am also carefull to make a code crossplatform friendly, thats one of the reasons i use opengl instead of directx. dont want to dedicate my attention to windows alone. but what interested me into giving linux a chance is the plazma desktop manager, the effects and browser/widget made completely out of glass. so if there is any distribution that seriously ABUSE! these lol i'd like to try it, regardles how complicated

I like my desktop nice and clean lol yeah, Linux has a huge learning curve, especially things you do with terminal and all its many commands. You'll get used to it though. I've used it so extensively I can boot anything with it lol which is handy when some softwares don't have a GUI.

After using Mint for awhile and going back to Windows it feels like Windows was made for infants

i've heard nice things about mint before so i will likely give it a try someday. unfortunately, yeah, so i've noticed. now it seams that help n support center in windows had a purpose after all and i hope there is something like that offline in linux.. i dont like online dependent system and unfortunantly, the linux i had to experience on live cd is exactly like that. many things prevent me from going deeper into it now but one day i'd definently love to give mint a try.
