Hello all I would really appreciate your help in deciding which psu to purchase its for a budget gaming rig it will be powering a i5 4670 and h87 mobo ,2x8gb patriot 1333 ram ,128gb samsung ssd ,the discrete gpu I still have to budget for. The psu's are as follows- corsair cx500 80+bronze,corsair vs650 ,corsair vs550,raidmax rx530ss or gigabyte greenmax 550w? ....I will not be overclocking at all or crossfire/sli but what am mostly looking for is reliability and don't need anything powerfull ,just sufficient for my build. Thank u and appreciate your input |

Keep away from the tx 750 v2 it has a annoying loud fan if you care about silence. Its a reliable psu but the fan is terrible.

Seasonic are always very good (I think, there might still be some older models that have been surpassed now by some of the more common selling PSU's) . Some of Corsairs PSU's are good (because they are actually Seasonics that have been re-badged). XFX Pro Series are good (again because they are Seasonics). http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/psus/2013/04/26/best-power-supply-psu-720-750w/1 Check more than just one review on the PSU you are interested in. |
