Cpu i5-2500k 16gb ram Mobo z68 pro gen3 Psu corsair 650w Gpu gtx 570 HD sc Now I'm kinda still a noob to this all but was looking into upgrading to this card http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E0N49C8/ref=mw_dp_mpd?pd=1qid=1382961133sr=8-1 This is the card I got now EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Superclocked 1280 MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Dual DVI/HDMI/Display Port SLI Ready Limited Lifetime Warranty Graphics Card, 012-P3-1573-AR My question is will my 650 psu be enough to run the 760 and seeing as my 570 is 2.0 pci and 760 is pci 3.0 will it still work even though my mobo has pci 3.0 i dont think my i5-2500k supports it, and if the 760 does work would i be better off upgrading cpu that will support pci 3.0 Last question is that my 570 is 320bit the 760 is 256bit but with 4gb of vram instead of only 1.25, but a friend said higher bit is better..so that got me confused especially since amazon has my exact 570 at 30usd more than the 760. |

There would be little point in upgrading in my opinion. The 760 is a faster card overall, but the performance gains wouldn't be worth the cost of admission. I would wait till the next gen nvidia cards before upgrading. Your computer would work fine with the 760. Higher bit rate is better, but it doesn't paint the whole picture. |

the gtx 760 has even a smaller recommended wattage then the 570 so your good (recommended for 760 is 500w and 570 550w) the pcie 3 is backwards compatible and the pcie 3 has no real performance increase yet not to mention a midend card like the 760. a monster card like the r9 290x with its 512bit memory might get a small increase maybe. the 760 will propably run out of juice when hitting 4gb but about 3gb of it should still be better than 2gb especially you with your skyrim modding.

alot of games are going over 2gb easy novadays even on 1080p so the extra vram will be a better option. everyone who says 2gb cant be maxed and is futureproof is in denial. ive seen alot of games going past 2gb. but that is usually the peak settings or some mods.

the 7970 ghz and r9 280x are in the 760 price range now with the price drop and will smash that card with ease also  just saying  dont want to start a fanboy war here

I like my 570 but think my skyrim modding is killing it loads of high def texture packs plus enb equals beauty but took a hit on fps and get occasional freezeup, but actually its nowhere as bad as the lag and freezeups I had with it on my ps3!I was looking at 2gb vram cards but thought that 4gb ones would be a safer bet for few years at least.. |

its about the same as the 570 on the psu wattage. the sapphire ones are one of the best quiet and cool. the 7970GE is on bar with the 770 some cases beats it even. its 3gb 384bit vram is enough for quite a while. the r9 280x is the rebranded 7970ghz so it doesnt matter which one to get.
