Get something with Windows 7. Believe me, it will be eligible for a discount voucher for the next release of Windows since Windows 8 sold so poorly.

It will add the Start button and menu, making Windows 8 work just like Windows 7. An alternative is this: http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/ They both have a free trial period. |

I would advise you to stick with intel laptops and maybe buy a machine online that ships with windows 7
