A handsome young prince wants to marry the beautiful princess. Her father sets a test for the prince. He is given 2 jars, 100 black pebbles and 100 white pebbles. He must split the pebbles between the 2 jars, any number or colour he wishes. The princess will them take 1 pebble from any jar. If it is white, she will marry the prince, if it is black she will not. What is the best way to arrange the pebbles to maximize his chances? |

Id say he should put half the black pebbles on bottom of each and top with white

Maybe I wasn't clear. Assume there's no way to keep the pebbles from mixing once they're inside the jar...

If he puts one white pebble n one jar and rest n the other he has just under 75 percent chance of winning
