Do you hate CORRECTION, thinking you are above others and aught not to be corrected? Here is what the BIBLE (NKJV) has stated on that matter: ~Proverbs 12:1~ Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. ~Proverbs 9:7-10~ He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, and he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. ~ Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. ~ Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. ~The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the HOLY ONE is understanding. ~Proverbs 10:17~ He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray. ~Proverbs 11:2~ When pride comes, then comes shame: but with the humble is wisdom. ~PROVERBS 3:34~ SURELY HE SCORNS THE SCORNFUL, BUT HE GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. ~Proverbs 24:9~ The devising of foolishness is sin, and the scoffer is an abomination to men. OUR HEAVENLY AND EARTHLY FATHERS CORRECT US ~Proverbs 3:11-12~ My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD. Nor detest HIS correction: ~ For whom the LORD loves HE corrects. Just as a father the son in whom he delights. ~Hebrews 12:5, 6, 9, 11~ ........''My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by HIM: ~ For whom the LORD loves HE chastens, and scourges every son whom HE receives.'' ~ Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the FATHER of spirits and live? ~ Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. |

~2Timothy 3:16-17~ All Scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, ~ that the man of GOD may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. PARENTS RESPONSIBILITIES ~Proverbs 13:24~ He who spares his rod hates his own son. But he who loves him disciplines him promptly. ~Proverbs 19:18~ Chasten your son while there is hope. And do not set your heart on his destruction. ~Proverbs 22:6 &15~ Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. ~ Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child: the rod of correction will drive it far from him. ~ Proverbs 23:13-14~ Do not withhold correction from a child. For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. ~ You shall beat him with a rod and deliver his soul from hell. ~Proverbs 29:15 &17~ The rod and rebuke give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. ~ Correct your son, and he will give you rest; yes, he will give delight to your soul. |
