Where n where do we apply php, or is it strictly for webdesign? I already have the basic html knowledge but didnt bother much about php. But what exactly do i need it for? Pls, let some one enlighten me!!

i find php is quite easy but unlike html if you make a small mistake it refuses to show the whole page :(

You can use php like u can use any javascript. U place it within ur html. Embed. Is just as usable on wap as on web. In forms ie like 'method=post' u use php script.

Php stands 4: Hypertext Preprocessor :-) In the 1st version of php it meant Personal Home Page
