The Youths are the leaders of tomorrow. This is a FACT and not a statement. The Nigerian Youth isn't inclined to politics because of the notion that politics is a dirty game and can only be played by the old or those with enough money, this is bull .This is what they want us to think, that we're weak and insecure and that we need the old politicians and money bag godfathers to lead us.This seed of unbelief and doubt has been sown by successive administrations in this country. The Youths are very important to the growth and development of any country and no nation which has neglected or destroyed it's youths has fared well. The assets of any nation are not it's oil or gold but it's youths cos they're potentials, worth more than any mineral or cash crop and are the driving force of the future.............

Today the only role the youths play in politics in this country are as Political thugs or harlots. We're only useful when there are campaigns, conventions or elections, then money is passed around and we do their bidding after which we're dumped till we're needed again. Many of us youths are ignorant or simply not concerned with what these politicians and our elected representatives are doing. My people perish for lack of knowledge. The government of the day will not enlighten you,we've to seek knowledge on our own part.My advice to the youths is to be focussed, let no one deceive you, enlighten yourselves and each other, join discussion groups like this one.

Everyone feels the need to lead at a point in his/her life.Leading is a natural instinct, but being a good leader only comes from being a PEOPLE person.Leadership is all about the people you're leading, once you aren't in touch with your people you're no longer their leader. The Nigerian Youth can lead but we must be ready to grow and be able to say no to these old politicians and moneybag godfathers when they come knocking and want to use us for their selfish gains. All youths have a role to play because the unborn generation will ask us 'what did you do when you were a youth'.Please All members of this group should please endeavour to post a reply to this topic as it affects us all, no matter what.

When the ppl in d head have taken over every thing including the remains that could have left for the youth. Then, what did you expect from the average Nigeria youth that did not have access to the essential facilities that other youth from other country are benefiting. eg, struggling to graduate from one of the university in d with alot of 'sorting' TO LECTURES

comrade's, after reading your reply on nigerian life, it does look as a bleek future is ahead for you all, the old leaders and the capitalist ruling class paying for the most right wing, warmongering, facists they can find, it only stands to reason that the youth have lost all hope, but to take the lessons from our russian comrades of 1917, mass workers councils(also known as soviet councils) peasents and the general public revolted against the dictatorship of the tsar and created the first truly democratic socialist society. Its the d*mned capitalist system that is clearly your country, putting a price on the essential human needs, such as food, water and education- because the rich sc*m dont care if your starting and under educated, as long as they can make a dollar of the workers, they can sit and rot, and pretend that everything is ok. It seems to me that a socialist up rising is long over due. As the chant goes, from moscow to washington there's only one solution, kick out right wing facists for a workers revolution
