The multi-tester is an instrument use to measure,Resistance(ohmmeter), voltage(voltmeter),current(ammeter).
To use use the multi-tester you need to know that this instrument has some component:two kn*b(wires): positive(red) negative(black).. It has a range selector(use to select between resistance, current, voltage). It also has a scale pointer that is to count your reading. There are two types of multi-tester(1)digiter(2)analogue. Here we are covering the analogue type.to measure direct current set the range selector to DCV,connect the red kn*b(lead or wire) to the positive, and the the black to negative, read the value at V.A
To measure alternating current set the range selector to ACV and do as instructed above, read the value at V.A.
To test for Resistance set the range selector to prescribed range position(ohm x 1k,ohm x 10 or ohm x1),make sure there no voltage across the resistor to be tested ,connect the leads to the resistor irrespective wether it is positive or negative and read the ohm.
