Hey People of SA and indeed the world! I wanted to attempt at Learning (me and others) how Linux Works on the most basic levels. I was hoping People could Assist us in understanding, and utilizing some of it's most basic features. I'm Going to Ask if any1 has knowledge of a specific Linux Distro, to step forward, and we Could Start 2 Learn from a Specific OS Version. |

i vote for Linux Ubuntu, but i can get as much as 12 Different Versions from Freedom Toasters in my Area. If any1 in SA needs a Copy, i would send you one as soon as i can.

I think you should all get dapper drake or ver 6 coz its much easier when u all hav same features older version's hav stuff missing also there are only 6 diff ver of ubuntu after that there is kubuntu and edubuntu all though basics are same some things are difffrent another thing u can just get one copy and make multiple copies and distribute in your area . I am in jhb any body need help just ask . I will post a few links for beginners things you should know

Hi, aren't there any online Support systems? especially for WAP - It would be great to have a Step by step Helpline for the Beginner such as me. Just to get a Feel for it. Then i can Carry on for myself. I have meanger knowledge of BPP. But nothing can Help me understand Linux
