According to a gaming website, a Rockstar rep has told them that developers are considering the possibility of an open world in GTA IV which is completely unlocked from the beginning of the game.

Playstation's Holiday Preview event has revealed a little bit of info on multiplayer for GTA IV. The game's multiplayer mode, is aiming for at least 16 simultaneous players, with more than just a deathmatch mode. They have also revealed that they had begun testing various plots

Janco Partners an*lyst Mike Hickey believes the market is generally underestimating the next GTA game's initial success. He says that if it had the same attach rate as Halo 3 then the title could conceivably ship 9.5 million units of game in the first week, producing an astonishing 466 million in sales. He predicts first-week sales would approach 8.1 million copies.

OXM has conducted a first look on Rockstar's GTA IV and thankfully it's all good. They claim that they are evolving the genre, and by the end of the demo they played, the prospects of IV were just looking better and better

Tbh when i created this topic i thought i'd at least find one piece of info on GTA a day boy was i wrong!

Rock star like to let hype build by not saying too much release a new pic once in awhile with little clues! don't just look at any pic in whole look and an*lyse it all! eg the importance of gang clothing in sa, the mini 2 player game too a pic was released but overlooked for ages! rockstar never just come out and say anything and god does it work for them! what can we make from pics and vids so far! 1. new level of interaction not only can you jack them but maybe grab hold to escape 2. subway trains back 3. interactive crowds 4. much higher ai on police they seem to follow you maybe checking your car out. this is all just ideas but just look closer at what ever rockstar release!

Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick has said that he is much more interested in growing Take-Two than in selling it. He believes that the next five to seven years this is a terrific time to be in the video game business. He also said that he sees four to six publishers dominating the gaming side of an industry in the future. When speaking about the delay Grand Theft Auto IV, he said that it will be beneficial. I believe this release, 'Grand Theft Auto IV,' is going to be vastly better than those expectations -- vastly better -- and that's hard to do when expectations are so high, he said.

Rockstar Games has revealed that a new trailer for GTA IV will be released next week on Thursday 3PM EST. The name of the new trailer will be titled 'Move up, Ladies'. This will be the third trailer that Rockstar has released for the game.
