When catholics confess their sins 2a priest they are in reality confessing their sins to God,for God hears their confessions and it iz He who in d final an*lysis does d forgiving.If their confessions are not sincere,their sins are not forgiven.

why should i go 2 a priest if i can go 2 my room n pray 2 God 2 ask him 2 4give me?

No one can forgive sin but God alone. Are the priests God? Are they not sinful like everyone else?

They aren't God. They are God's servant. They can help us ease the burden of sins we confess by giving advise n solution to prevent sins.

No man can ever be God. God says he is spirit and not a man. God also says that his spirit makes a dwelling in man.

Mt.9.8 they praised God who had given such authority to men. This vers is n d content of forgivenes of sins. Jm.5.16 confes ur sins to each other. 2Cor.5.18 ... Gave us the MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION. Jn.20.23, if u forgive any1s sins they r forgiven. . . So show us a verse thats says confess ur sins DIRECTLY to God pls...

D bible does say God is Spirit, but i dnt recall a verse that says God said he is NOT A MAN. Pls show me that verse coz i may have missed it out. Coz d bible did say Jn.1.1 and d Word was God, and in Jn.1.14 and d Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
